    Serent Capital launches USD1.1bn fund to invest in founder-led software companies

    Serent Capital, a growth-focused private equity firm that invests in founder-led B2B software companies, has closed its fifth and largest fund to date, Serent Capital Fund V, at USD1.1 billion.

    Serent Capital Fund V was oversubscribed and closed in less than 100 days. With the closing of Fund V, Serent is now managing nearly USD5 billion in assets across its funds.

    Serent Capital invests from USD20 million to USD200 million in B2B software companies with a strong product-market fit, annual recurring revenues of USD10 million to USD50 million, annual growth from 20-100 per cent, and EBITDA margins from 0-50 per cent. Transaction types include buyouts, recapitalisations, and growth capital.
