A CC Capital Partners-led investor group is looking to acquire market-research firm Information Resources Inc (IRI), according to a report by Bloomberg.

The investment firm run by former Blackstone Inc dealmaker Chinh Chu, is said to be in talks over a deal that would value IRI at over USD5 billion, including debt.

Currently IRI is owned by private equity firms Vestar Capital Partners and New Mountain Capital.
