Asset management firm’s private equity arm hits €509m in commitments for long-term investment vehicle.
BlackRock Private Equity Partners has reached a successful final close on its Equity Opportunities Eltif (PE Eltif), after achieving €509m in commitments. The fund, which is BlackRock’s first private equity fund under the European long-term investment fund platform, was designed to build on the company’s long history in private markets.
Its long-term investment themes’ focus on consolidation, corporate carve-outs and family owned or small-cap opportunities, key sectors targeted include media & technology, healthcare, and industrial & business services.
BlackRock raised capital in partnership with 10 European wealth managers that benefitted from the new European Eltif regulation, which allows broadened distribution of private market funds to end-investors across Europe.
