While some venture firms are returning to the office, Basis Set Ventures is embracing remote work beyond the Covid-19 pandemic.
The venture firm, which just raised $165 million for its second fund to invest in machine-learning businesses and other startups, recently gave up the lease on its San Francisco office. It was a small building of about 5,000 square feet in the South of Market neighborhood, equipped for a community of founders and investors, and included a play area for their children.
