AURELIUS Group has appointed wo new members to its investment team in London. Simon Jobson joins as Principal and Shivani Sheth as Investment Associate, bringing the total investment team in London to 12.
Jobson and Sheth will work with Tristan Nagler, Partner, AURELIUS European Opportunities IV, who with the London-based investment team has led several of AURELIUS’ most recently announced investments with the complex carve-out of SSE Contracting, AutoRestore, Pullman Fleet Solutions and GKN Wheels & Structures. The new hires mark continued growth for AURELIUS in the UK, which has expanded year-on-year since inception in 2014.
The announcement of new hires to AURELIUS’ UK investment team follows a busy start to the year for AURELIUS. In a milestone for its development as a pan-European asset manager AURELIUS successfully closed a new mid-market private equity fund securing EUR500 million for investment. In Q1 AURELIUS announced a total of seven new deals both in the UK and across Europe.
Joining as a third Principal in London, Jobson brings nearly 20 years of specialist investment and corporate finance expertise from working across multiple sectors and mid-market level deals in which AURELIUS excels. His experience includes complex investments, finance, restructuring, and portfolio management, having held several Board-level positions. Simon joins from Duke Street, the mid-market private equity firm where he was a Director in the investment team focused on companies across Consumer, Healthcare, Industrials and Business Services in Western Europe. Prior to this, Simon was a Director at both Sovereign Capital and Growth Capital Partners after having started his career at Deloitte.
