Matchroom boxing promotions CEO and boxing promoter Eddie Hearn is set to make a huge fortune as reports have come out that the Brtish promoter is in talks to sell a minority stake of his company.
If this deal goes through Hearn will add a whopping $215 million to his networth. Incredibly, this will be one of the biggest mergers in boxing history and could have a huge impact on the future of the sport.
Hearn has been a prominent part of boxing since he joined Matchroom and currently promotes some of the best boxers in the world like Canelo Alvarez, Anthony Joshua, and Oleksandr Usyk. His company also struck a deal with streaming service DAZN to stream their fight on the platform across the United States back in 2018. The deal was estimated to be around $1 billion dollars making it the first billion-dollar deal in boxing.
